He was despised and rejected— a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief. We turned our backs on him and looked the other way. …Yet it was our weaknesses he carried; … But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed.
Isaiah wrote those words 700 years before the 8 days that changed history. We call those days “Holy” – Holy Week. Let’s come together this year for Holy Week as we reflect on Jesus and his journey to the cross on our behalf.
Here are a few things you can expect for Holy Week. We hope you’ll join us for each one!
- We partnered with local pastors to create 8 devotions for Holy Week. You’ll get one each day straight to your inbox starting March 28th focusing on what Jesus did that day.
- Text the word EASTER to 89419 or follow us on Twitter, for a moment-by-moment walk through of the events of Holy Week. You’ll get updates throughout each day. These texts will be delivered by our sister station SPIRIT 105.3.
There is still time to invite your friends and family to join us as we experience Easter together. Invite them to sign up!
As we get ready to experience Holy Week together, please take a moment to prepare your hearts. Here are a few ways you can do that.
- Take some time to pray and ask God to open your heart and mind for what he has for you.
- Spend some time in scripture specifically looking at the Easter story in Matthew 21-28, Mark 11-16, Luke 19:28-24 & John 12:12-20
Jesus’ death brought us all life. And because of the resurrection … because of Easter … hope is here.
