He Accomplished Our Redemption!
So is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty,
but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
Isaiah 55:11 (NIV)
Anyone who listens to the nightly news or reads the headlines in local newspapers has no doubt that our world is desperate for change. We need to be healed. We need to be set free. We need to be transformed. But who is able to do that?
It is the powerful, living Word of God — the Lord Jesus Christ — who can break the chains of addiction, bring order to chaos, and heal our world. God promises us that His Word in human form, His only Son, will accomplish all that He desires and achieve the purposes for which He was sent.
What is that purpose? Our salvation. Jesus came to save us from our sins. He came to die in our place and pay the penalty for every wrong thing we’ve ever done, thought, or said. He came to set us free. To heal us in every way that we need healing. To restore relationships. To conquer death and give us eternal life.
Do you know someone who is struggling, broken, or hopeless because they’ve yet to receive a revelation of God’s love and salvation? When you pray for them, you are asking the Lord to do what He already wants to do!
PRAYER: Lord Jesus, I bring (the name of your loved one) to You now. You are the living Word of God and You alone can save them. Thank You that You love them and want them to know You. Come and get Your glory in their life today. In Your name, Amen.
