Scripture: Psalm 148, Jeremiah 26:1-9, 12-15, Acts 6:8-15; 7:51-60
The Children sang their hearts out on the beautifully decorated stage. The beauty of the days gone by came flooding my mind.
These were days when innocence, purity and peace were an aura that marked our faith.
Oh how I long daily for a childlike-heart; one easily taught, sheepishly following, quickly forgiving, lovingly embracing, pure in thoughts and fellowship, playful and joyful in the courts of the Lord.
I miss those moments of dancing carefree in the rain. I miss those grace filled moments when I cared less of what others would say and I just did my dancing any way.
Where have those days gone?
How soon did they fly by!
Now we keep pressing on and trying hard to keep the pressures of life away rather than leaning on Him like a child would depend for everything.
Let us do it right again in His presence. We are first His children and we have nothing to be ashamed of.
Let Us give our hearts to worship
Our feet to dancing
Our hands to clapping
Our mouths to singing
Let all within us praise His holy Name.
Sing a song of worship or listen to a praise song.
Reflect on Acts 7:51-61. What are your thoughts here?
Let us consider closely what Stephen did. He looked up in the face of death and worshipped. Everything about that verse pointed us to Jesus. His spiritual eyes were fastened on Jesus.
He looked up; not around. When we look around we will see no reason to worship.
Let us Look Up like Stephen did.
Are you facing a difficult situation and this whole season seems upsetting rather than pleasing? Have you tried everything else? It is time to look up and just worship. I know it is hard.
Like the beautiful lights and glowing decorations that adorn the streets and our trees, so should our praises light up the heavens. The beauty of our worship should be seen by nations beyond and the heathen should marvel at the wonder of our praises to the Lord.
Laugh, smile, rejoice and shout… let your praise be on the roof tops and celebrate the Lord who has done great things.
I am grateful for the miracle of life we have today because that is something to praise the Lord for.

Discuss:
Is it hard for you to praise God in dark times? Do you have any go-to verses that you use to help pull yourself out of darkness?
Pray:
I praise you Lord in the beauty of your Grace. I praise you today because it is all I want to do. Teach me to worship and love you like a child. Help me to look up and blind my eyes to the swarm of distractions around me. I love you Lord and I worship you in Jesus Name.
