I love when the Lord brings us to passages of Scripture that so perfectly minister to our souls and remind us of the truths we need to hear in those quiet moments with Him. The last few weeks I have found myself meditating on the words of David found in Psalm 139.
“O Lord, you have searched me and known me! You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from afar. You search out my path and my lying down and are acquainted with all my ways. Even before a word is on my tongue, behold, O Lord, you know it altogether. You hem me in, behind and before, and lay your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high; I cannot attain it.”
There is a comfort in knowing that we are seen, known, and loved by the God of the universe. There is not a thing He doesn’t see. He knows our greatest fears and insecurities. He knows our deepest hopes and dreams. He knows the thoughts we lie awake at night thinking about and He deeply cares for us because we are His children.
Whatever you are facing today, big or small, know that God sees and understands it all and He loves you deeper and greater than any person ever could. What a comfort we have when we rest in the truth that we are fully known and deeply loved by Him.
